Description

The series 2.2 measuring transducers convert any currents or voltages into an impressed direct current or voltage with the correct sign. These can then be displayed, registered and/or used for control at the measuring point or in more remote control rooms. The range of transducers includes types for sinusoidal or non-sinusoidal AC as well as DC signals. Up to the maximum or minimum permissible load, several evaluation devices (indicators, controllers, recorders, computers, etc.) can be connected simultaneously. Power is supplied via a separate auxiliary power input. Input, output and auxiliary power are galvanically isolated from each other. The outputs are short-circuit-proof and open-circuit-proof. The transducers comply with the safety regulations and are tested for interference immunity. The transmitters are intended for installation in devices/systems. The regulations for the installation of electrical systems must be observed.

Function

The current measurement is carried out via a shunt resistor, the voltage measurement via a voltage divider. The signal is then galvanically isolated from the input via an optical path and converted into a proportional impressed DC voltage or a proportional impressed DC current.
