Properties
  • Two integrated switching contacts (Min/Min, Min/Max, Max/Max)

  • Adjustment via rear potentiometer

  • Terminal cover according to VGB 04 (option)

Description

The instruments of the Ce-series have Min/Min, Min/Max, or Max/Max limit contacts, which can be adjusted by a potentiometer on the rear panel.

Variants

EQCe 96 96 x 96 mm AC current/AC voltage measuring instrument with limit contacts
PQCe 96 96 x 96 mm DC current/DC voltage measuring instrument with limit contacts
PQFCe 96 96 x 96 mm Pointer frequency measuring instrument with limit contacts

Application

The instrument has two built-in relays with changeover contacts which are used to monitor limit values. The switching thresholds of the relays can be set with potentiometers on the back in the range of 0%...100% of the measuring range end value. With two additional rear potentiometers, a response delay in the range of 0.5...30s can be set for each relay. Reaching the limit value is indicated by a red LED for each relay. By default, contact I is designed as a min. contact, contact II as a max. contact. Optionally, the instrument is also available with two min. contacts or two max. contacts.

Mechanical Design

The movement consists of a current coil wound around a fixed iron and a moving iron mounted with the pointer on the system axis. The system is mounted on tip bearings, and damping is provided by silicone oil. The beginning of the scale is compressed, which allows linear reading from about 15% of the measuring range. Ammeters have a display range for twice the nominal current (100 % overload). The overload range of the scale is strongly compressed and has only a few scale lines. The accuracy class indicated in the toolbar basically refers only to the part of the nominal scale range marked by a start and end point. For voltmeters, the measuring range is continuous (without overload range). The special housing design allows a quick exchange of the interchangeable scale. This is particularly interesting for instruments which are to be connected to current or voltage transformers (xA/1A, xA/5A, xV/100V, xV/110 V).
