Description

The moving-coil instruments, or moving-coil meters, of the PQ and KPQ series are used to measure direct current and voltages. While the PQ measuring instruments have a linear 90° scale, the KPQ circular scale instruments have a linear 240° scale.
PQ 45 45 mm for DIN rail mounting
KPQ 45 45 mm for DIN rail mounting
PQ 48 48 x 48 mm for panel mounting
KPQ 48 48 x 48 mm for panel mounting
PQ 72 72 x 72 mm for panel mounting
KPQ 72 72 x 72 mm for panel mounting
PQ 96 96 x 96 mm for panel mounting
KPQ 96 96 x 96 mm for panel mounting
PQ 144 144 x 144 mm for panel mounting
KPQ 144 144 x 144 mm for panel mounting

Application

These instruments are intended for installation in high and low current systems where measurements of DC direct current and DC voltage with small intrinsic consumption are required. The core magnet measuring mechanism is largely insensitive to external field influences. The measuring mechanism is protected against mechanical shock and shaking stresses by spring mounting of the rotating coil.

Mechanical Design

The core magnet movement consists of a coil that is rotatably mounted so that it can rotate between a central permanent magnet with a soft iron ring surrounding it. The pointer is connected to the coil via the system axis. This system guarantees immunity to external magnetic fields. The scales can be supplied with any dimension designation and can be linear or logarithmic. A mechanically - or electrically suppressed zero point is also possible. (Live-Zero) The special device design allows a quick exchange of the scale. The units are suitable for connection to a transmitter with a DC standard output signal or an external shunt resistor with xmV voltage drop.
